High school sweethearts wed on a beautiful fall day.
High school sweethearts, Aubrie and Mike, tied the knot (again!) on a sunny fall day in Virginia. The couple had a 6-month vow-renewal at the beautiful Basilica of St. Mary’s after the pandemic led to a change in their original June wedding plans. Afterward, they held their reception at The Carlyle Club in Alexandria, VA.
The affair was full of meaningful details. Aubrie, who is a veterinarian, infused her love of animals into the reception with a dog breed inspired seating chart. At the end of the night, they delighted guests by offering custom pet goodie bags to take home treats for their furry friends. Aubrie and Mike also stopped by home to snap a few wedding photos with their pets at home before joining the reception.
This fall event featured gorgeous burgundy and peach floral arrangements from Violet Floral Design, sleek black chairs, a gold hanging sign behind the sweetheart table that read “It always was you”, and an abundance of candlelight. Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner prepared in-house followed by an extensive dessert bar stocked with sweets from Buttercream Bakeshop.
The bride looked gorgeous in a flowing embroidered gown and the couple danced the night away with friends and family.
